Spring in the Eden Valley

Spring has sprung in all sorts of ways around the property! Tender young shoots are unfurling across all the blocks. The birds are fighting for the best nesting spots in the big gums, and the rabbits are… busy. On the front lawn.

Things get hectic again in the vineyard, pest and disease watch is critical from now through to harvest. Our young vineyards need lots of care and attention over the growing season so that they develop into a good form to carry the grape load each year for decades to come. It won’t be long until tiny inflorescences, the part of the shoot that will become the bunch, can be seen on the vine, and yield estimates and vintage planning can be fine-tuned over the coming months. It’s an important time in the vineyard.
